Warranty Policy

Last updated: August 6, 2026

MyTurbos.com is a retailer of forced induction and performance parts. The products we sell are covered by the original manufacturer's warranty. MyTurbos does not provide a separate warranty of its own, but we help you use the manufacturer's coverage and manage the claim on your behalf. Because we source through our distribution network, approved warranty claims are handled through the manufacturer's inspection and approval process, coordinated by us and our distributor.

1. Who Provides the Warranty

Each product is warranted by its manufacturer or brand, not by MyTurbos. Warranty length and terms vary by brand and product line. The applicable warranty is the one published by the manufacturer for that specific part, shown on the product page or in the manufacturer's warranty documentation. Where a product page and the manufacturer's written warranty differ, the manufacturer's written warranty controls.

2. What Is Typically Covered

Manufacturer warranties generally cover defects in materials and workmanship under normal use, for the period and on the terms the manufacturer sets. Coverage usually means repair, replacement, or credit for the part at the manufacturer's discretion.

3. What Is Typically Not Covered

Forced induction failures are frequently caused by installation or supporting-system issues rather than a defect, so most manufacturer warranties exclude:

  • Improper installation or failure to follow the manufacturer's installation instructions.
  • Oil starvation, oil contamination, inadequate oil supply or drainage, incorrect oil, or overdue oil changes.
  • Over-boost, over-speed, or over-temperature operation, or use beyond the unit's rated limits.
  • Foreign object damage, meaning debris drawn through the intake or exhaust.
  • Failure to correct the root cause of a prior failure before installing the new unit.
  • Improper or aggressive tuning, excessive power, or use outside the product's intended application.
  • Racing, competition, or off-road use where the manufacturer excludes it (see Competition and Off-Road Use in our Terms and Conditions).
  • Units that have been modified, disassembled, tampered with, or repaired by an unauthorized party, or that have had identifying labels removed.
  • Normal wear, consumable components, and cosmetic wear.
  • Shipping damage (handled under our Shipping Policy) and damage from accident, misuse, or neglect.

4. Labor and Other Costs

Unless the manufacturer's warranty states otherwise, warranty coverage is for the part only. It does not cover installation or removal labor, diagnostic time, towing, rental vehicles, downtime, or other incidental or consequential costs. We strongly recommend professional installation, which also helps protect your warranty.

5. Your Consumer Rights

Nothing on this page removes or limits any implied warranty or other right you may have under applicable state or federal law, including the Magnuson-Moss Warranty Act, where those rights cannot be waived.

6. Remanufactured Products and Cores

Remanufactured units may carry their own warranty terms and require a core return. Warranty coverage for a defective reman unit is separate from the core charge and core refund, which are governed by our Core Policy.

7. Defective on Arrival

If a unit arrives defective or fails immediately on first use, contact us promptly. We route dead-on-arrival claims through the manufacturer warranty process at no return-shipping cost to you.

8. How to File a Warranty Claim

  1. Contact us with your order number, proof of purchase, the part number, a clear description of the problem, and photos or video if possible.
  2. Wait for a Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) before sending anything back. Unauthorized returns cannot be processed.
  3. The manufacturer or its authorized facility inspects the unit to determine whether the failure is a covered defect.
  4. If approved, the manufacturer repairs, replaces, or credits the part under its warranty. If the claim is denied, for example due to an installation fault or oil starvation, we will share the findings with you.
  5. Return shipping for warranty items is the customer's responsibility unless the manufacturer agrees to cover it. Dead-on-arrival claims are covered by us.

Processing time depends on the manufacturer's inspection and can vary by brand. We will keep you updated on the status of your claim.

9. Protect Your Warranty Before You Install

Most denied turbo claims trace back to a few avoidable issues. Before installing, prime the oil system, confirm proper oil supply and drainage, replace the oil and filter, clean the intake and charge piping of any debris, correct whatever caused a prior failure, and run an appropriate tune. Following the manufacturer's installation guide is the best way to keep coverage intact.
